Westward (1.0 x 1.5 inches; mixed media)
My newest line of miniature paintings is quickly expanding. I painted this one yesterday. The bulk of the painting is watercolor, with a few details completed in ink. A scene from my imagination.
These dollhouse miniature paintings of mine are available for purchase at my Etsy Shop. Click the link below to view them as well as several other works by me.
Winter Wilderness (1.5 x 1.0 inches; mixed media)
Painted this dollhouse miniature yesterday. This actually was a flop. The initial washes were not working, so I rinsed off the color wash and let it dry. The toned paper looked great, and I ended up with a nice little painting.
Through The Trees (1.5 x 1 inches; watercolor)
Got in a little painting today (no pun intended)! ☺
If you look carefully through the trees you will see a distant mountain range. I have also completed another one of these little gems, but you will have to wait until tomorrow to see it!
What a blessing it has been over the last six weeks. Four wonderful people have purchased the paintings shown in the above photo.
Watercolor Artist Bob Fagan said the greatest compliment is to have someone purchase your art (paraphrased). He is absolutely correct!
A big “thank you” to all of you who have purchased my artwork. You will never know just how much it means to me.
Winter Warmup (1 x 1.5 inches; mixed media)
Several people have asked me how I paint so small. I painted this dollhouse miniature and made a video of the process. You can view the video at the Tom Conboy Art Channel at Vidme. Click on the link below to view the video.
Snow in the Pines (1.5 x 1 inches; mixed media)
Completed another dollhouse miniature painting last night. This miniature is mainly watercolor with a little white gouache. The snow in the pine trees was done with a white jelly pen.
Winter scenes are my favorite! Some of the easiest paintings to do…at least they are for me.
Desert Beauty (1 x 1.5 inches; mixed media)
This is my first completed painting in over a month. Sometimes, at least for me, a break is needed to “recharge the batteries.”
I am going to concentrate on creating a new line of miniature paintings that I plan to offer at my Etsy Shop. These dollhouse miniatures in 1/12 scale would be equivalent to 12 x 18 inches in real size. These are a lot of fun to paint!
Desert Beauty is mainly watercolor, with a few details in pen and ink.
A gif of the painting process for Miss Molly’s at Village Hall. This watercolor is 5 x 7 inches and resides in a private collection.
This Art Card Editions & Original (ACEO) watercolor painting was created in 2011. The original resides in a private collection in France.
